The final walkthrough and your one-year warranty

A house is not finished when the last piece of trim goes on. It is finished when you have walked it with us, we have fixed what you found, and you know how to reach us after you move in.
The walkthrough
We walk the house with you, room by room. Look at everything: doors, drawers, windows, paint, fixtures. Bring a notepad. If you see something that is not right, say so, and we write it down.
The punch list
Everything we write down goes on a punch list, a list of small items to finish or fix. We work through it and let you know when each item is done. Most houses have one, and that is normal.
A one-year warranty on our work
If something we built is not right in the first year, call us and we will come make it right. The full terms are in your contract.
Manufacturer warranties
Manufacturer warranties on things like windows, roofing and appliances pass to you. We will make sure you have the paperwork for them, so you know who to call for what.
Longer coverage
If you want coverage beyond the first year, ask us about extended warranty options.
After you move in
Houses settle, and a few things only show up once you live in one through a Montana winter. Call us when you notice something. We would rather hear about it early.
