The structure.
The frame is where a house gets its straightness, and it's the part you can't fix later. This is what we use for it.

Engineered studs, where the budget allows.
LSL or LVL studs are straighter and stronger than dimensional lumber, so walls come out flat and true. They cost more, so whether they make sense depends on your budget.

Siding and windows are what you see every day. We build with LP SmartSide siding, and Marvin windows are our usual choice.

Insulation, plumbing, heating and cooling, cabinets, flooring and countertops change from house to house. They depend on the plans, the budget and what you like, so there isn't one answer for all of them. We go through the options with you before anything gets ordered.

Questions about materials.
Can I choose different materials?
Yes. The engineer's spec sets the minimum for the structure, but finishes, windows, siding and most of what you see are your call. We tell you what each choice does to the price.
Do you only use the brands listed here?
No. These are what we usually build with. If your plans, your engineer or your budget call for something else, we use that.
